Answer engine retrieval API for finding live web sources before an agent writes its own response. Send a query and get ranked Google results with titles, URLs, snippets, domains, and an optional recency filter; this route returns search results, not an LLM-written answer. If primary search is quota-limited, it returns marked degraded recent public-news results from GDELT (https://www.gdeltproject.org/) capped at 168 hours. Use it as an answer engine source API, RAG source-discovery feed, web search results API, or research-query retrieval layer; use answer-web for synthesized citations.
